The Program

A real Korea immersion — not a tourist tour.

Mornings on the campus of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, learning Korean alongside HUFS students. Afternoons inside the country's most influential cultural institutions. One night in a real Korean home. Built for curious, ambitious young people who want the actual experience, not the highlight reel.

01 / Academic

HUFS Language

Real Korean language instruction at one of Korea's top language universities. Formal welcome ceremony, real classroom hours, real students.

02 / Cultural

Heritage Seoul

Hanbok at Gyeongbokgung Palace, temple food cooking, Bukchon Hanok Village, N Seoul Tower, hidden alleyways of Insa-dong.

03 / Pop

K-Pop & K-Beauty

YG Entertainment HQ, dance training and a real music video shoot. Amore Pacific flagship and a full K-Beauty masterclass.

04 / Connection

The Homestay

One night with a vetted Korean host family — most travelers say it's the highlight of the entire trip.

Two Ways to Travel

Choose your program.

Same daily rhythm — different evening programming and group dynamic. Pick the one that fits how you want to travel, then we'll find dates that work.

Individual Traveler

Travel on your own.

For students attending solo who want a structured, supported way into Korea. You'll meet other international travelers your age and explore Seoul as a tight-knit cohort. Best for self-enrichment, college-application stories, and gap-year travelers.

Questions

Most-asked, answered.

Does my student need to speak Korean?

No. The HUFS language program is designed to start at the absolute beginner level. Students with prior Korean experience are placed in higher tiers.

Is K-Mission appropriate for a 16-year-old traveling alone?

Yes. The individual traveler program is fully chaperoned and supervised from airport pickup to airport drop-off. Travelers are never on their own outside of supervised free time at age-appropriate venues.

Will I be grouped with travelers my age?

School-organized trips travel as their own cohort. For individual travelers, cohorts outside of school groups are sorted into age-appropriate bands — high-school-aged (16–18) and university-aged (18+) — so a 26-year-old won't share the homestay weekend with 16-year-olds. We'll confirm placement on the discovery call.

What does the $7,900 actually include?

Round-trip international flights, 9 nights at Lotte World Hotel, every meal, every program experience (HUFS classes, YG, Amore Pacific, Everland, palaces, homestay, etc.), local transport, and 24/7 support. Personal spending money, travel insurance, and any visa fees are not included.

How do schools and faculty get involved?

Email seth@proethicaltravel.com or book a 20-minute consultation. We can run K-Mission as a stand-alone trip for your school, or fold your students into the broader cohort.

What if June doesn't work?

Dates are flexible and rolling based on availability and group needs. Groups can confirm a departure with as few as 8 travelers — book a call and we'll talk through timing.

Are payment plans available?

Yes. A deposit secures your spot, and the balance can be split across installments. We'll work with your timeline.

Who is edu•people?

edu•people is our Korea-based partner — they design and operate the on-the-ground program, including HUFS coordination, host-family vetting, and all in-country logistics. Proethical Travel is the official US sales and support partner for K-Mission.
