Proethical was born to change how institutions travel.
Proethical was born out of the idea that there is an opportunity to develop educational and immersive travel programs with a stronger ethical and sustainable focus. As a provider of travel, we collaborate with the education sector to promote more sustainable travel immersions and experiences that minimize adverse social and environmental effects.
Three ways we plug into your program.
Faculty-Led Immersions & Courses Abroad
We work closely with professors to curate short-term immersions abroad — summer break courses, J-term courses, spring-break intensives — tailored to course curriculum and ethically designed from the ground up.
Semester-Long Study Abroad Activities
Proethical collaborates with Study Abroad Directors to instill immersive and sustainable educational activities throughout semester-long study abroad programming — weekend excursions, service days, and site visits that align with the program's learning goals.
Student Travel Sustainable Consultation
We partner with Study Abroad departments to assess and enhance programs through a lens of equity and sustainability — with comprehensive evaluations of travel experiences and detailed carbon footprint reporting to help institutions reduce Scope 3 emissions.
Impact reporting, built for Study Abroad offices.
We help institutions undertand and reduce the footprint of their international programs. Our consultation partners you with the data and the context to act.
- ✦Program audits — we assess travel experiences through a lens of equity and sustainability
- ✦Carbon footprint reports — itinerary-level Scope 3 emissions, accounted end-to-end
- ✦Reduction roadmap — concrete, prioritized changes your office can make next semester
A little praise.
[Proethical Travel] created a unique travel service for Universities to create travel experiences for students with sustainability integrated into the planning from start to finish… Proethical not only designed an impactful, instructional, and fun day for our group, but did so under budget and with positive impact to local businesses like small-holder farmers and local tour guides.
